My impression as an SS-Mann in 23. SS Rgt. ''Norge''
Hello!
Since i am new on this forum, i would like to create a post where i show off some pictures of my living history impression. I reenact the 11. SS Division Nordland, particularly the 23. SS Regiment ''Norge'' with the norwegian reenactment group ''Frontkjemperne''. I encourage others to share their impressions and photos too, and im happy to answer any questions regarding my uniforms and equipment.
This is on the 9th day of a 10 day event in January, where temperatures dropped to around -20 celsius at night where we had fierce fighting against russian reenactors for an entire weekend.
This event was set as Regiment ''Norge''s desperate retreat around the forests of Novgorod, January 1944.
8th day of the 10 day event.
Me posing infront of ''Holmestrand Casino'', the last remaining building of a german camp used for both training of norwegian volunteers, and aswell as a resting place for soldiers on leave.
Me infront of ''Grand hotel''.
Me after the 10 day event in January, where me and two others from my group held a position for 30 hours straight with only 1 hour of sleep. you can see the exhaustion.
Health check, consisting of both lice check and to see if the SS blood type tattoo has healed well. (Yes, its a real tattoo!)
Preparing trenches and positions for the incoming russian advances.
A little gathering of the uniforms and equipment i use to portray Regiment ''Norge''.

Very impressive! These could be easily mistaken for genuine photos.

Very good impression. American reenactors tend to be a little bit too "elderly" and "well fed" and it hurts their authenticity. Like someone else said, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say your photos could be nearly confused with period originals.

Nice and Welcome. Love the first and second photos the best
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them
