A Luftwaffe combat buckle and I suggest you not clean it.

Nice original Luft buckle in good clean condition, why do you need to clean it?

Nice Luftwaffe in rather good condition. So why cleaning?
Accept the advise this time, as given with other posts!!

As a museum professional I will advise against cleaning UNLESS and this is ONLY IF there is something that is possibly degrading the metal such as ZINC Pest, then I would TREAT to PRESERVE the artifact, but not clean it. Cleaning it will take the patina away..
It is a very nice looking buckle as it stands right now...

As the guys say, don't clean it.. It doesn't need anything. Stored in proper temp/humidity then never any need unless it had a previous issue.

I think there was a translation issue. Asking "which group can I claim it to be from". Just a guess. Nice buckle.

How do you mean which group, as in Luftwaffe or maker?
