    Nice buckles, it seems that the maker is Assmann
    I have one in my collection, the added leather tab had a different maker stamp

    It seems to me a little wrong ... maybe I'm wrong about that. Look at the reverse of the buckle - he's bald without "shagreen" and the muzzle of the eagle with his neck - looks like a snake.The Luftwaffe  who can tell by manufacturer?The Luftwaffe  who can tell by manufacturer?

    Yes, you are correct, it is different.
    I'm sure there were more than two makers that made buckles like this.

    unknown maker (the tab is marked JC Maedicke 1941 so not for this buckle added at some point?)

    by honest it is not a Assmann . It has a totaly other design .

    Here i will show only the real Assmann design .

    Here a real crank catch Assmann, not the smal ears.

    Often on the early leather tabs are marked with only the tab maker and date !
