    Hi Alex, I like these. A friend of mine used to own one just the same as yours. I am told they were done by POW's?

    Hello,
    This way of "twisting" the belt is reminiscent of WWI...
    Many french soldier for instance used to do it, even if not POWs (they made the same thing with their helmet chinstrap).
