    Default LW buckle

Hello gentlemen. I was on a gun show this weekend, and among the items I found there was this Luftwaffe buckle with leather tab.
The buckle has no marking, but it is double stamped on the leather tab.
The maker is Brüder Schneider, Wien, and by reading post on this forum I have learned that this is a legit maker. But I can’t figure out what the BAS 1942 stamping means. Hope you can help me with more information on this one.

    Best regards Arvid

I agree with you.. It looks almost repainted and to new.. Also something with the detail is bothering me..
LW boucles is not my field, so my opinion does not count as an real opinion

I will leave the verdict on originality to my peers here on the forum. They know more than me. Buckles are not really my forte.

    Cheers, Ade.

You wouldn't happen to have bought that at the Militaria and Arms Fair in the Letohall? Nice purchase.

Perfectly legit to me!The only "odd" thing being the "S" for the "Bekleidungs amt" not enclosed in parenthesis as it's normally the case, but this is not uncommon and I own several Luftwaffe-issue items myself thus stamped!
    A mint, original buckle IMO
    Cheers
