Pommel is junk but other parts may be ok but a mismatch of items found here and there...tiger logo looks off as you stated...

It certainly has the cleanest blade out of the group, but the logo on the blade did worry me. Appreciate the input Anzel!

Is the mix of metals an issue? Were these daggers normally one or the other? The missing screws are, I assume, a result of this being a quickly put together parts dagger, with a haphazard pommel put on.
Hi Doug..yes the mix is an issue for collectors. When these 1st Luftwaffe daggers were produced..the metal fitting types were all consistent with each other..and the date produced. One will not see a mix of parts these 2 types Nickel or aluminum ....yet on later seen daggers such as Heer and SA due to production constraints. These 1st Lufts are easy to follow..without seeing 3rd and 4th variant types..mixed with varied producers.

The Heer dagger is that type of Challenge

Thanks Larry! When I first saw the dagger I assumed it would be a parts dagger. The fact that the veteran was in Germany post war really backed that inkling.

Are the hangers on these the same way or are the hangers always made of aluminum? Cause to me it seems the rings and such are aluminum but the end piece with the clip is nickel.
