Default 2 versions of gravity knife

Here are my 2 gravity knives. The SMF fixed model one of my grandfathers aquired during the war. Story goes he (Cameron Highlander) was coming over a hill and came face to face with the man holding this knife. My grandfather won. He proceeded to use the knife as ascrew driver in the field and broke the tip. This is why it is over sharpened and odd at the end.

The take down model was a lucky recent purchase. I managed to pick it up for a REALLY good price! Should I feel guilty? The RB nm reads 0/0561/0019

I know. A fantastic piece of equiptment. It just surprises me that they are becoming illegal all over the world... In my opinion a steak knife is scarier and more lethal...

Great examples. Knowing one came from your Grandad makes it even better!

    Turbodan,
I's good that you don't have a lot of money invested in the second gravity.
I'm sorry to inform you but that one is known as a Pakistani repro by the copper rivets. No German period made gravity knives by any maker used copper rivets.

Actually Wags is correct. I am kicking myself for not noticing the copper rivets.

    Cheers, Ade.

That explains why it feels so flimsy compared to the SMF. OK, so then I retract my original title for this thread, and hereby re-name it " IDENTIFYING REPORDUCTION GRAVITY KNIVES!!"
