Looks like a very nice rig! Are the leather tabs on the hangers an added repair or add-on reinforcement? I'm not a "blades guy" but I'm not used to seeing them.

Hi Todd,
I know some Variants of the Officers / Deluxe Type hangers for Luftwaffe did have leather tabs connecting the clip to the woven straps. The ones shown here could have been customized or altered during the WWII Period. One leather sewn piece is longer than the other and could have been changed by the man wearing them. Some faint gold guilding is still remaining on the buckle and the drgm marked clips. They have some wear to them so likely they saw some use. Hope all is well.
