    Very nice dagger.

Was this a vet family purchase?

Nice Alcoso 2nd patt Luft , loving the 2 tone between the Scabbard & bands , Just a thought but don't the hangers & scabbard need turning so that it hangs on the left (oooeeer) regards,Paul

Hi Marty ...nice find...is this a vet pick up or the actual owner? I love these happy ending stories

I agree, but then the dagger would have to be put in the other way as well. Maybe the original owner switched this because he was left handed.
Do I also see black under the handle finish or are those just scuffs?

I got the dagger from the vets daughter. I bought a nskk dagger from them 3 years ago but they would not sell the others or the small German flag, I guess I can wait another 3 years. The dagger has been corrected from the way I got it. The hanger was on wrong and the dagger was wrong in the scabbard.

Ralph, the black on the handle and the eagle looks to a tar or such. I was not sure about cleaning that up with out damaging the patina.
