DLV knife ...need opinions

Article about: good morning...i'm looking at this DLV knife...it seems with heavy nickel fornitures but it seems to have been deeply polished...i find it a good knife...what do you think about that green p

    good morning...i'm looking at this DLV knife...it seems with heavy nickel fornitures but it seems to have been deeply polished...i find it a good knife...what do you think about that green paint on the ferrule??

    Judging by the photos, it seems to me like untouched one.
    Green substance is patina, not paint.

    thanks all...i abuse of your kindness and competence to have informations on a second one it's an SMF marked NSFK knife(a very little bit expensive than the first one)..i'm not sure which choose so i ask you an advice

    I would take Heller 100%.
    SMF DLV dagger has a traces of cleaning.

    That "Green Paint" on the ferrule rings is not patina..but verdigris. Quite damaging in the long run on steel. In one respect it is a good sign of untouched authenticity..the other...is eventual cancer. Verdigris for some reason does not seen to react against Nickel plate or aluminum. Something to keep an eye..on as it will eat into the cloth grip. Regards Larry
