Fake Luftwaffe Sword?

Article about: I think this may well be a Spanish made sword c.1985-95. The 'Gaeflen' maker mark looks terrible in the pic and lacks more script and/or logo. Can you tell if the pommel Swastika is anodised

Can you tell if the pommel Swastika is anodised, as it should be, or not? The Spanish fakes were nearly always painted with a coloured varnish or shellac.

Sadly, I would have to agree that it is not genuine. The condition is made-yesterday new and the engraving of the makers name is of very poor quality and not at all genuine in appearance. The "gilding" of the swaz's looks more like cheaper style of anodizing and is not of the right color or hue one would expect either. No, if possible, I would suggest returning this one as soon as possible.
