Luftwaffe dagger

Hi guys
Need some help please
Got this dagger , basically free in a deal
On arrival I noticed a few things I didn't like
I'm pretty sure handle is fake, very hard plastic ??
Red hot pin doesn't mark it
Are fittings, blade , scabbard fake also ??

Original in my opinion. Drop forged blade so correct. Dagger fittings are aluminium, pommel and cross-guard, sheath plated steel (should be magnetic). Lacking twisted wire around grip, which could be relatively easily replaced to complete this piece. Wipe the blade after handling with fine oil to prevent the permanent formation of finger prints on the blade. Good luck, PY.

It's definitely a parts dagger at best lol
As the seller had put 3 leather washers round tang to make handle fit, with only original washer , there's a large gap..
Scabbard throat also looks to have been played with..
It's more handle I'm unsure of

IE, definitely parts dagger, with original parts

I don't know if it's good or not, but I saw a handle like this (only orange) on a dagger at at gun show last week. It was in a case so I didn't get a hands on look. I thought the handle looked really funny, it doesn't look to me like a handle thats just missing the wire. From what i've seen, wire wrapped handles have a radius in the bottom of the groove for the wire to sit in. What I mean is the bottom of the groove is shaped more like a 'U' then a 'V'.

Now, I don't know if thats a rule of not. I can't say anything for sure, as I don't know a lot about these. I just saw a similar handle and thought it looked hokey, so I've been trying to figure it out my self.

I'm interested to see if others think it's good or not.

It has 4 holes drilled, to take the wire ends

Imo the handle, pommel, ferrule and the crossguard are all reproduction pieces.. look at the swastika not the same distance between the legs on the crossguard.
The seam on the handle is never a good sign.. and is typical reproduction marks. Same goes with the ferrule.. and lack of details overall on the pommel..
The blade could be original aswell as the scabbard.
Just my two cents..

The pommel, scabbard and crossguard are all typical Eickhorn parts and original. The blade obviously is not an Eickhorn blade. It is original however. That makes this dagger a parts dagger.

Solid white grips are allways reproductions unless they are made of ivory which this one is not.

Trolon grips are solid but they always have a color, varying from yellow to red.
Original grips are filled with plaster or wood. Therefore this white grip is a reproduction. The ferrule/gripring is a reproduction too.
