The maker's mark itself has its own problems besides an "N" looking like an "R". With the logo in some of the images reflecting way too much light IMO to be an etching. But stampings typically are applied on the flat surfaces of a blade. However this example seems to wrap itself onto the blade edges which are at angles to the central flat area.

And has been mentioned before - given the lack of clarity with the pictures who knows just what it is that we are looking at ?? FP
