Hello gents, I've been offered with a quite good Lufwaffe "boot" knife; it seems OK to me, but I prefer to submit it here first, to know your opinions on it. (I know, pics aren't the best ).
The blade still shows faint cross grain, and the cutting edges aren't honed. Some traces of fingerprints, but visible mainly with indirect light.
    TIA

    Hi,
knive looks OK so far, but, (IMO), one of the grip plates could have been replaced.

Looks original to me. But the peened over rivets might be a givaway to a replacement or certainly a tightened up grip on one side.

    Thanks for your inputs.
Here we have some close up of the grips and rivets... Do they confirm your feelings? The most protruding rivets seem untouched

IMO the rivets are "messed up" ...
It seems, the grip plates are replaced indeed, but, it´s always hard to say anything only to view images on the screen.
It´s much more better to hold the respective object in his own hands !
