Thanks! At least these are marked. My Army one is marked but the WaA. is part ground off. Others have no marks. Rich A. in Pa.

Sorry for the bad pics of theL 5/6 marks. The other knife has a eagle stamp. My error. It has a grind mark on it. Bad pic again. It is marked hat1941. I was told that hat was Gebh Fabrik Feiner Stahlwaren Solingen-Widdert. The knife was imported in the '80's. They were sold in Shotgun News. That is all I know. Rich A. in Pa.

Oh ,ireally miss mine that was given to me by an old timer who was at Sword beach,, my son ,when he was younger decided to take half of my knives and bayonets around a friends house, all the other kids went there and this was one i never got back, the guys name was scratched on the base near the crossguard, i think it was Hartmann, i would really like to get some more, but they are becoming quite pricey now, and reproduced in quantity

    Hi !

    Please, forget "hat 1941" !

The knife you show us in this thread is, (IMHO !), a bubba-"work" ! ...

Blade too short, scabbard too short, ...

"hat 1942" stands for: Gebrüder Gräfrath, Fabrik feiner Stahlwaren in Solingen-Widdert

You´re showin´ us an "Bubba"-"Infanteriemesser 42", and the mark "hat 1941" makes absolutely no sence !

Some pic´s of an mint Infanteriemesser 42, made by Gräfrath:

    P.S.:
Again: There never, ever was an "Eagle mark" or an "WaA-stamp" confirmed originally marked on blades or grip-plates of an Infanteriemesser 42 !
