Heloo Friends!
I have the opportunity to purchase a Luftwaffe machete for the Heinkel He 111 bomber rescue kit.
Request your opinion on its originality in that state and without scabbard.

While it's a little harder to tell because of the age/pitting I'm of the same opinion that it's OK. Best Regards, Fred
nice machete too I would like to own.
Very interesting piece. Looks like Alcoso made, post 1937 trademark.
I like it as well, unfortunate about the condition.

Good original item.
You could always upgrade to a better condition example in the future.

Thank you very much for your opinions. I can buy it at a price of about 500 euros. I have a dilemma whether this is not an excessive price in this condition. . .
This one just posted on the Emig dealer site. Don't see many of these and I think there are fakes.
Luftwaffe Machete fur die Seenotausrustung in Flugzeugen. Hersteller
i see no other issues then its bad condition and missing scabbard.
There are lots of fakes around, having brass mounted fittings.
Alcoso was the only maker that produced this model.
