    Default My 1st Model SMF

    Hi All,
I figured I would add my 1st model to the new sub catagory for reference sake, I must say this is one of my top 3 in favorite daggers, this one is a early SMF with the stickbird inspection mark, the outside has some nice age and wear to it and the portepee was added on by myself, but the blade is killer, and who doesnt love a killer blade? It has the proper marked Ges Gesch clip and the hanger links I believe were period shortened, I call it big brother when side by side with my DLV dagger, I did my best with the photo's, hope you enjoy!

Stunning example John!! ...the even patina really brings out the beauty. I always preferred the Brass medallion swaz..over the aluminum type. Thanks for sharing this and adding to the forum.

Thanks harry and larry, I prefer this style also, alot of the aluminum examples look like they were just made yesterday, although looking mint is a big attraction and I would not turn one down I just prefer the aged look for this specific model.

Max you need to get an SMF 2nd luft which are notable for retaining their gold gilting in their pommel swaz. This combination of both the 1st and 2nd would make for a nice display coupled with a breast eagle and maybe some collar tabs.
