    I just watched a youtube video on how to fix this issue, the whole spring had to be re-made from a new piece of steel, and welded in, I just dont see the point of fixing it if the parts are replacement, something about it not being 100% original would bother me more then the spike not working, maybe there are other ways to fix it, or easier for a take down model, but I cant imagine it being done without something getting ruined or replaced. If I saw someone trying to take the handles off or pop out those pins I would probably faint lol.
