Gents
Were there real versions of this used in WWII?

There is a Pawn shop locally who has one with Eichorn etched on one side. the blade is blued and the etching is poor.

Question: Walk or run away? or Buy it cause its real. The gent wants $250.00

Hi Bob,
I may be mistaken, however I believe these are complete fantasy items. I have a similar one marked with SS runes that was conifirmed as a fantasy item. Mine was thrown in with a lot of authentic items that I got for cheap, so it was basically free.

They can be pretty convincing, though!

Oh, and if the one at the pawn shop is anything like the one you posted, I would run quickly. Not sure if the image has been flipped, but the Swastika is reversed....
