    Hello Ben,
    I'm not very specialized concerning P.08 pistols, only owned a couple in the past, but IMO the part showed by the red arrow does not belong to a DWM 1915. This design was used later in another country or for commercial Lugers (don't remember). The pic above shows to you how it should looks like on WWI german Lugers.

    go easy with handguns and weapons in general Ben, it's a worst minefield than buckle collection

    Good eye!.....I noticed the discoloration(touchup?) to the serial # on the toggle,but I might be over analizing
