Is there any history on the Luger? How the previous owner obtained it ect?

    Thanks Rick and Lee,
Bruce Stern was a lawyer who fought very hard for the Second Amendment here in the US.He was heavily involved in the NRA.His military firearm and machinegun collection was awesome.Bruce passed a few years ago and most of his collection went to auction.I had the privilege of speaking to him on the phone once about collecting,a cool experience.
    Cheers,
    Jason

    Hello Padre,
Jan Still refers to it as a 42-41 or a 42 code 41 Date Variation.
Axis Pistols Volume II by Jan Still page 7
    "42 Code 41 Variation: All blue;some have black plastic grips;P.08 left frame;serial numbers overlap 42-1940 variation and byf 41 variation;serial range 2500n-6700r. Estimated production:7,000."

For reference purposes here are my 1940 42 Code, and byf 41Previously highlighted on WRF.
    Cheers,
    Jason
