Now I know where all of the lugers went.
Very cool. Still not the most Lugers I have ever seen. When I was working at a museum we had 40+ Lugers of ALL types in our vault. Many of them had the appropriate bolsters too. I guess everyone tried to being a liger back in the world wars.
What a sight! I hope they are not deactivated...
great looking Lugers.
The luger was the most sought after Souvenir of the war in Europe. In my opinion. Talking to a lot of WWII vets. This was what they all looked for. Some would even risk their lives to get one. Of course many of these young lads were in their teens and twenties. In the pacific it was samurai swords and nambu's. Maybe that is why we have so many here in the states.
Just my thoughts,
John

Hi,
These are all live, and have been collected on the Island of Jersey where they were left after 5 years of Occupation.
