Just picked up this Luger, It's rough (someone put it on the grinder ) For who knows what reason ... But I got it for $300.00. The guy thought it was broke, so he sold it cheap, but it turned out that he had just put it together wrong. I took it home, striped it, put it back together (Correctly) and now, good as new It shoots great too
Could someone tell me what these numbers mean? ( 114.R.11.5. ) I think it's a WWI Erfurt Luger that was reissued in WWII. Don't know the date, It has been ground off...

The pistol doesn't appear to be an Erfurt from the photos shown. I assume it has an Erfurt toggle but the side plate seems to be from a DWM. Can you post some close-up photos?
what you have just said could explane the grindings
someone trying to make it what is not
having said that its a shooter ,,so great pleasure
as i said before most lugers are protected and never used
this one is rare ,,as in it can be fired to hearts content with no loss
a luger like that is worth its wight in gold
I personaly would love to put a few thousand rounds thruw that luger and not worry about the value
i wouldnt care if i hit the target
i just love to see that toggle action doing what it does
i put best part of 5 thousand rounds thruw my mothers luger before the ban
and just loved it didnt hit a thing but great fun
bybthe way good germen parabelum 9mm kiks like a mule
the lugers function is to slow for modern 9mm
it will try to jump out of your hand
but HELL enjoy im very jealouse
