I'm looking for a source on Luger Production suffixs.

I'm looking for information on a luger of mine, which is a "L" suffix, 1918

Cody, 1918 DWM production of P08s and LP08s is estimated at over 110,000. Serial number ranges ran from no letter suffix to the letter suffix s.

1918 Erfurt P08 production is estimated at over 170,000 with serial number range from no letter suffix to the letter suffix u.

What specifically do you want to know?

I've got a 1918 Erfurt P08, 7173 L from what I can tell. It also has some other markings "units?"
Just trying to find everything out about it.

Cody, where in ND do you live? Unit markings would normally be on the grip strap, either front or rear strap. Where are the markings on your Erfurt and what are they?

I'm located about 10 miles north east of Bismarck actually. The markings are on the front of the trigger guard. I can get some pictures later today, I'm sure that would help 100 times more. Any info on 7173 L?

My photo's will not upload, and I can't seem to figure it out.
So any information about when my luger was produced, besides 1918 would be nice.
I'm looking for more of what Month it was produced.
I'll work on the markings.
