You sure do fit the 'Bill' (no pun intended) for the sticky pertaining to this thread Bill. Real nice stuff! All in 'my' dreams. Maybe I'll hit the lottery one day.

    Hi Bill,

What's the correct mag/s for one of these? The one I'm looking at has non serial numbered FXO E/37 mags, no reason to think they didn't come with the gun. Someone else in another thread says they should be the 122 mags. I see that both FXO and the 122's are some of the very top quality extruded body mags, so very similar.

Very nice Bill. Had a 42 myself that was 1939 production as I recall. Unfortunately someone reblued it and the magazine had wooden grips instead of the aluminum which I believe it should have originally had. Foolishly swapped for modern pistol I just had to have but we all make mistakes. Last one I saw was an S/42 3 years back and the asking price was $1800 at a nearby gun shop. Definitely a good investment. Thanks for showing a wonderful piece.
