Salty 42 code P. 08 rig, I think I'm in love... ;-)

Article about: Thx much guys ;-) The kid was only early/mid twenty something, couldn't get rid of it fast enough, and the sad thing is he told me he'd been trying to sell this stuff for a long time, but hi

Well I did pick this up from a guy who's parting with some of his Granpa's things "so he can buy an XD, Glock, etc..." (I posted about having looked at this in the last couple weeks). Really pretty amazing battle worn 42 code, two matching un-numbered FXO E/37 mags, holster is FR. OFFERMAN u. SOHNE BENSBERG 1939 WaA727, tool is E/655 coded and I finally found out what those are for ;-) I've had it all apart, cleaned it, oiled, fondled it... it looks and feels amazing!

Odd thing about the holster maker, try Googling it, absolutely ZERO hits, like it doesn't exist, bizarre... (I retried the search with the corrected spelling from the website, and did see that there is some info there, also that they were a Luger holster maker during WWI)

Fantastic! think you hit the jackpot on these two. Very valuable and very desireable pistols for collectors. Thanks for showing them.

Ohh man, the previous owner didnt deserve to own that, so happy that it went to someone WHO appreciates the rig.
Imagine parting with a Family heirloom like that!!

I don't think either are that 'salty' - I think they are gorgeous.

Very Nice looking items, the P08 is my all time favorite firearm :-) and much more interesting to have an example that has seen some action, than a minty out of the box piece !
