Hello guys, I came across this P08 Luger that I would like to buy. I know next to nothing about this pistol, so I'd like some help on identification and value so I can make a fair offer. Thanks in advance!

NOTE: Magazine does not have matching numbers

What would you like to know about it? It's a WWII era mismatched numbers in pretty nice shape and a probably reblued Russian capture, from the looks of it. A good shooter but not wildly collectable. Does it have a holster and extra magazine? Value? Maybe $800?

Mismatch sideplate any others?-not sure it is a Russki reblue, though.
    $800-$1000 reasonable.

It does not have a holster or extra magazine. The seller did mention that the side plate was a mismatch, thanks Mikel, I forgot to mention that. How would these Russian captured P08s have made it to the US?

They were imported by firms like Century Arms. My Kar 98k was imported by them. Usually did not care naturally about matching up parts when reassembling German weapons after putting on a reblue and putting in storage. Check for importers mark around barrel area.

Anyway, it's a Luger, it will always be a nice item to collect!
The value, is not important, you'll get a few dollars when you sell it in a few years if that are you're intresst
Due to the fact, it's almost matching, and in beautiful condision!

I agree with the opinions of other respected Forum members...I can't comment on the value, but i can't resist on admiring the looks of this beautiful firearm...

Its a very nice gun, in a great condition. Buy it if you feel you can afford it.
