Nice stuff Brian, very nice. I missed being out that way by ONE week. Was out in Pittsburgh last weekend. Next year I will try to go as it will be a bit closer to me. (a bit)

Robin just posted a thread on the SS cavalry saddle blanket. Interesting.

Thanks Michael. It was something of a last minute decision to go. Honestly I wasn't aware this was the last year in Monroeville so I'm glad I did. It was a nice turnout. I bought Bill Shea's collectorholic vol 1 book, and spent about 20 minutes speaking with him, an absolute gentleman and amazing collector/storyteller the highlight of my day. Sorry some of the pics are out of sequence /orientation. I really enjoyed the Hussein outfit it was nice seeing a more modern historical piece there with really ironclad provenance. And the SS DD lid from Kelly Hicks was an impressive piece as well, I would not want to know the price on it though lol. Kindest regards.

    Thanks Brian for posting pictures.
Someday I hope to get out there for the show but for now I have to
just sit and drool onto my keyboard.

After zooming in on the pictures and seeing some of the price tags,
it's probably a good thing that I'm not there. Just one of those visors
cost more than my entire collection. Kind of makes me feel a bit small

I agree. Back about 1999 or 2000 when I first started getting serious about iron crosses,
I found Bill Shea's webb site. I emailed him with some very rookie questions and we ended
up having a couple long conversations. A very nice thing for him to do considering I was
such a newbie and knew virtually nothing.

I m right there with you Greg. My wife bought me the book, lol otherwise I'd of left with my commemorative magazine only . I did think of you buddy they had alot of nice WW1 stuff this year trench knives and uniforms. I d love to have taken more pictures but I was kinda limited on time. If it makes you feel better the standarte flag pole topper was only 35k! I wouldn t think of embarrassing myself on getting prices from the RK cabinet but they sure are nice to see up close.
    Best regards.
