War and Peace Show 2016 (Folkestone, Kent, UK)
Well, it's still going after all these years, and coming up again soon (19 - 23 July):-
I'll be there on the Tuesday and Wednesday, as ever looking for the 'big score', but will be happy with the small treat too!

I have been for the last 18 shows and it is still the high point of my hobby year although the last few years the weather has bee "mixed" to put it mildly .
I'll be there again this year from Thursday over the weekend. Anybody else going?
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
'I do not think we can hope for any better thing now.
We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.
Last Entry - For God's sake look after our people.'
In memory of Capt. Robert Falcon Scott, Edward Wilson, Henry Bowers, Lawrence Oates and Edgar Evans. South Pole Expedition, 30th March 1912.
I go every year and to be fair the last few have been rather painful in terms of finding any reasonable Militaria at half reasonable prices but you never know .......................Militaria junkies are always hopeful !!
KG Bull / Granatwerfer is due to be there on the 19th......
I expect I will go. Im a creature of habit .Has any one else noticed it starts a day earlier and ends a day earlier this year?
Yes, from Tuesday till Saturday and I think that's a good thing. People from all over Europe exhibit vehicles at the show and quite a few have a job they have to be back at the next Monday morning. The result the previous years was paying visitors were looking at almost empty fields by Sunday afternoon.
