Possibly, but without better photos, I would pass. I do not like the color of the front.
Here is a thread of makers of this award. Although it is not complete with ALL of the makers, it will help.

Personally I do not like the finish, or the pin catch, but you will need better photos

Like Ralph, I don't know what has happened to the finish on the front.

Get some better pics. But unless it was cheap, I would pass on it.

    Cheers, Ade.

They make very good copies of this maker. You need a good clear photo of the maker's mark to be sure.

In my opinion this clasp looks also original....possible bad stored and the finish has changed a bit? Better pics are welcome.

I concur with the opinions above. The four raised tabs on the reverse that hold the backplate in appear to me to be absolutely correct for it being a small font type 1.4.2. The finish could be the dark bronze brennlack finish that was used on some of these that has suffered a bit due to storage conditions.

Here's my example for as best can be compared.

Original, I agree...but it may have been exposed to fire at some time.

Thanks to all of your replies and very help full photos Big Ned.
I agree something is up with the finish on the front side.

What would be a fair price to pay for this in its condition?

    Thanks again, Jeff
