Hi, I have recently been offered a Close Combat Clasp.

Even though I am not a newbie to the militaria collecting scene I am far from an expert when it comes to spotting a fake 100% of the time.

I need to know if this is the real deal as I would hate to be parting with good money... The guy is asking $550, is that even a good price...?

Sorry it is bad. Never be hurried by a seller in making a buy. Often a tactic used by the unscrupulous....

Incorrect material used and look at the ill fiting backplate.

So the fakes are made of Zinc...? What are the originals made from....?

How do you pick zinc from a real one just by looking at it?
