    @Jonathan Wenberg:

    NO. Those short sleeve shirts are not fantasy. Those shirts were issued in the MdI police forces.

    @René: for NVA these shirts are not ok!.....try to check the stamp of the shirt....it must be stamped "MdI"

    Hi Alex,

    Short sleeve shirts were issued to the Mdl police forces, but they never had two button pockets. They only had one button on the pockets, that's how you tell the difference.

    Cheers

    Default Fellow Aussie DDR collectors!

    Was this theft from a certain German seller out of Dresden? Odd thing to steal just the one cap...glad it wasn't any more.

    Since I'm also based in Australia and I am frequenting the warrelics forums more and more recently (and have really enjoyed perusing Rene's collection), I though maybe I could share some of my stuff as well? I don't want to hijack the thread of course so if I take enough photos/other members think it's better, I could always start another thread.

    Of course, my collection is not nearly as vast as Rene's but I do have some other nice stuff relating to parade dress and insignia etc so I hope someone will be interested!

    Anyway, up first, here is my bullion officers visor (which just came today!) Has some evidence of mothing, I was thinking of putting it in the freezer...does anyone things this will adversely affect the bullion or old style cap cord? (interesting trick to tell the 1950s and 60s cap cords from the 70s and 80s ones: the earlier ones slant like this ////////// whereas the later ones slant like this \\\\\\\\\\)
