On Ebay, there is for sale a really rare piece, an NVA artillery tunic dated 1958. From 1956 to 1959, Landstreitkräfte (Ground forces) parade tunics had colored piping on the sleeves. After that, all Landstreitkräfte parade tunics had white piping.

One can notice several WW2-like features, such as belt hook holes and zig-zag stitching under the collar. The interior also has two pockets and the classic field dressing pouch. These features were omitted as years went by.

A fantastic tunic, but a rather expensive piece comparatively. Makes me wish I was there to grab a few of these cheap when the wall came down.
