Look, I have to ask - but this is undoubtedly a really stupid question as they mass produced it - but did this 'raindrop' camo actually work? I'm just not seeing how effective it would be.

    Sorry in advance.

    Cheers

it is quite a good camo in my opinion as it disrupts the main body

Hmm. It seems to me at any rate, far too regular. While it may disrupt the main body at close range, I'd be interested in just how effective it was. From a distance surely you would see the silhouette?

Sorry for being a pain - as I said I'm just not seeing 'it'.

Edit: of course this may explain why I am not in the military....

fritz looks superb ive checked my gloves and are nva stamped ,i imagine the strichtarn was very effective in a forest environment amongst pine trees etc ,it was also a pattern adopted by other eastern block countries around this time period ,here's one of my glove'sClick image for larger version.

strichtarn was originally used by the Polish and quickly discontinued when the DDR adopted it!

Sorry Mate I've never been in the army also. I have been out in the bush, and camo is my favorite area, but I'm far from being a expert
