    What I have from the NVA is a visor cap for a non-commissioned officer in the Landstreitkräfte (Y = 1988), a M-56 helmet, probably also from the 80-s as it's foam and plastic on the inside and last a shell casing

    Got the cap complete! and I received a factory police shirt today - I think is will be a mission and a half to find the correct shoulder boards though!

    hi rené the cap looks great can i ask what you had to add to complete it ,nice to see the period paper stuffed inside too ,what should the boards look like for the shirt in case i spot a pair

    Cheers James, I had to add the cockade and the chin strap, and I think I just need regular police boards? these maybe? I have located the button type as its a single post type

    Hi Rene, May I respectfully suggest that the shoulder boards which you have shown are WG rather than EG? I could be wrong but I beleive them to be fairly early WG Police.
