Weiss Maus Verkehrspolizei DDR 1987 (Video)

During the DDR time there was a TV comedy series called "Fridolin." A clip of one of the episodes is Weisse Maus Verkehrspolizei (White Mouse Traffic Police). The "white mice" wore white police uniforms and directed traffic at busy intersections in places like East Berlin. While this is in German, one need not understand the language to see what happens when Fridolin encounters a pretty uniformed officer and seeks a romance with her.

I doubt that people think of comedies when they think of the DDR. I didn't. I did get some chuckles out of this one though, and so thought to post a link to it here as part of a society that no longer exists:
