    Hi War Relics Forum

This is a very interesting and knowledgeable Forum.

I found a used brass cartridge that I can not identify. There are no markings on the base or around the cartridge. It has a strange lip around the top open rim. Maybe someone has done a bit of trench art on it to make it a toddy pourer?

The cartridge measures 30mm across the base and is 10cm tall and the hole at the top is 23mm widest part x 18mm narrowest.

I'm thinking of some sort of coffman or engine ignition cartridge. I don't know why I think that as I know absolutely nothing about ammunition or engine starters.

Thanks in advance for any information you can give me about this cartridge. I found it in my late fathers chattels in London England.

    With best regards

    Gary Wright
