New Here. Think I found a canonball.

New here. Not european but I think I may have found a cannonball from the US Revolutionary War. I live very near some battlefields and while digging in my garden I came upon a clearly man made stone ball. It is large (slightly larger than a basketball) but I have no clue what it is.
