Just acquired this tinnie. I know it is from the Bayrische Ostmark district, but not sure what the 'Arbeitsschlacht' is meant to represent or how it translates. I think a literal translation is 'labour battle'.
I know there is another variant without the spade and pick.
I am just looking for any information on it that I can get.
Your help as always is very appreciated.
    Regards
    Detlef

Arbeitsschlacht can be roughly translated as "labour battle", "work battle" or, less literally, "battle for work".

A typical example for dramatic, martial-sounding Nazispeak, this was a frequently-used propagandistic term that referred to the entirety of the regime's job-creating measures.
