I have this badge or what is left of it should I say and was wondering could anybody identify it for me. Thanks in advance.

Hi lianne, and welcome to the forum, you will find a friendly bunch of people on here and a vast amount of knowledge on all subjects military, i think you will enjoy it, as for your badge, i think it could be a divisional emblem for a German Regiment but im not sure its wartime manufacturer but there will be other opinions and more information

almost looks like a type of volunteer unit badge...maybe islamic? handeshar.skandburg.? I dunno.

It's a Traditions-Mützenabzeichen [Tradition Cap Badge] from the Reichsarbeitsdienst [National Labor Service]. This one specifically was for Arbeitsgau XV Sachsen [Saxony].

See , didnt take long, nice original badge for the period, its always the same and very rarely do you get a no response, theres some terrific people on here
