I cant say one way or the other with this specific one, but oceans of these badges with the same text and being fake as a fake thing from Planet Fake has been flowing out of Poland and other places for years.
They are also seen in a darker finish and with the felt backing attached.
    Im pessimistic.

Z4: StugIII posted one of these badges on this Forum in July 2012. You might want to take a look at his. It's actually an arm badge for a Boarder Patrol officer rather than a customs officer who checked pasports and searched baggage. For a time in WWII, the Zollgrenzschutz was taken into the SS and then returned to the Finanzverwaltung near the end of the war. The four, 2-hole pairs are there so that the badge can be sewn to the sleeve. I think yours is a good one, but I am not an expert so let's see what people more knowlegible than I have to say about it. Dwight

From what I know about these is that they where sewn on to an arm band. This one is lacking in detail compared to mine.

I do not like the original posted disk. The eagle, in particular has No head. It looks bizarrely like a decapitated chicken's neck! Sorry, but I would pass on this one.

Ahh okay, so its just some of the fakes, that come with a felt backing (supposedly for sewing directly to the uniform sleeve) then.
