I have ust got this Die DeutscheVolksgasmaske VM 40 complete with box (original Karton), filter and gas mask InstructionsReichsluftfahrtministerium. I know it is very common 45 million people gas masks were produced. Do anyone know more about the gasmask and did Dräger made the filter (http://www.gasmasklexikon.com/Page/Germ-Mil-FE.htm) I cannot find the filter

The Civic gas mask was developedin several countries during World War II , which provided for thesupply of large parts of the civilian population with gas masks. Thus, the impactof the possible use of chemical weaponsshould be reduced as part of the bombing campaign against settlements. The Civicgas masks were less powerful than the militaryvariants for the most part, but could be produced morequickly and cheaply.
The German "people's gas mask" Dräger works wasa dome-like structure that surrounded the majority of the head. It had twoseparate sight glasses and a round, screw-on filters. The mask has been issuedto the population from July 1937. IT was scheduled for a maximum of 20,depending on the chemical warfare agent-minute use (against phosgene fiveminutes) and should enable the carriers mainly to escape from the endangeredarea. Until the war, nearly 45 million people gas masks were produced.
