Frederick the Great badge

This badge came to me recently with a few other bits & pieces ,It obviously features Frederick the Great & is some kind of Anniversary of his death remembrance pin, My question is, was this given at a remembrance rally or is it simply a fan pin ( a bit like a Justin Bieber pin ,but for those with better taste ) also does anyone know what the 5 dents in the back represent ? In all a nicely made badge that given the period of time it was manufactured in ,escaped having a swastika slapped on it somewhere . It's a 1936 WHW/Winter Relief Tinnie, a fairly common Donation Piece commemorating the 150th Anniversary of Friedrich der Grosse's passing...
