A friend's collection.

Article about: Thanks David but I'm far from an expert on these badges. Along with the 1929 RPT badges and the 31 SA Treffen badges, are the ones that I have done the most research on.

    Default A friend's collection.

    Hello all,
I had dinner the other night at a friend's house, when after dinner, he asked if I would like to see his wife's father's Nazi memorabilia he obtained while being one of the first troops into Germany. Of course I was interested, and was handed a small box of pins, medals, small arms and a helmet. I would like to show some photos of the items in hopes of informing us as to what they are, and how much they might be worth. I think most of the items are somewhat typical of what I've seen online, but maybe a few that might be more interesting. I have linked a few of the first items for you to take a look at, and I will post more if you think that it would be worth while. Also, I'm not sure where I should be posting all the different items, or if this is the place to start.

First up, a street sign, auto pennant and armband with pin.
    Thanks

Thanks for sharing these with us. All original of course.

In the first post there are:

Adolf Hitler Strasse street sign. Like most items, these are reproduced today. I would draw members attention to the corners and the original damage. Never seen this style reproduced actually.

    Hitler Jugend vehicle pennant.

WW1 Veterans Association armband with a HJ membership pin attatched.

In the second post we have:

Unknown to me, political collar tab.

WW1 Veterans Kyffhauserbund cap insignia, but the center part has moved and is shown upside down.

    RAD belt buckle.

1931 first pattern SA Braunschweig Treffen rally badge. A scarce badge.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Thanks for the information Ade.
I can assure everyone that all items are original, as the man brought these back from war, and was not a collector past that time.

Is there anyway to put a price figure on these items? Is there somewhere else that prices can be determined? The people that now own the items do not want to have them anymore, and find them disturbing. They would like to sell the items or give to a museum. I would rather they be distributed to collectors, and not spend the rest of their days sitting in a box and forgotten.

Here are a few more items from the box.

    Thanks again.

DO NOT give these to a museum. They might never see the light of day again, or worse they can legally be sold on by them.

Sell them here and make your friends some good money.

    Luftwaffe FJ Paratroopers badge.

Hitler Youth armband and two membership badges.

    Veterans breast eagle

SS runes collar tab. This is nice NCO's quality example.

You can determine prices by visiting some dealer sites now you know what you have. We are talking several thousand $ here so far.....

    Cheers, Ade.

Thanks again for the information. I have checked out a few of the dealers sites, and the prices vary considerably. Like the SS collar tab. I've seen them go from around $450 to $1,500 or more. Same with the Luftwaffe pin, although not in the same price range. I'll keep posting, as this is fun and educational.

    SS Officers sleeve eagle.

Army breast eagle, earlier Bevo machine woven version.

    Deutscher Jungfolk runic sleeve patch.

Political shoulder strap of some description.

The total has just jumped up another couple of grand........

Very impressive pieces Just remember when you do come to sell them to try and keep them together as a group, it would be a shame for them to get seperated after being kept together since the end of the war.

All the best with finiding a buyer and thanks for showing

    Danny
