    Default Gauleiter Double Breasted Tunic

A double breasted tunic tailored by the firm of Niemann Lappe of Kiel. Kiel was the political center of Gau Schleswig-Holstein. Therefore, it is likely this tunic was the property of Gauleiter Hinrich Lohse. The breast badge and ribbon bar spacing match the awards Lohse wore and the proper ones are displayed on the tunic.
Lohse held the rank of Gruppenfuhrer in the SA. During the years 1941-1944, Lohse was a Reichs Commisioner of the RMBO and headquartered in Riga.

Super-rare for both being double-breasted and for a Gauleiter.
    Hyper-rare for being attributed!

    Hi Bob,

Just a couple of photo's showing Hinrich Lohse in his uniform.

Firstly, at a railway station in Riga, and secondly with, from L-R Dr Otto-Heinrich Drechsler, himself, Alfred Rosenberg and Eberhard von Medem.

    Hope these are of interest!

    Regards, Ned.

The SS General in the railway pic looks like Friedrich Jeckeln.

I don't think Lohse as shown in these pics would have fit into Bob's tunic !?

The guy i'm seeing has a breast eagle on his double breasted tunic. Not like it should be for an SA tunic, and no armband on the one in the pics either..

Hi Brian, that is not actually an SA uniform, hence the breast eagle.

He was a member of the Reichsministerium für die besetzten Ostgebiete. And wears their special uniform.

    Cheers, Ade.
