I just noticed these pips I've had for a while now appear to be made of glass. Does anyone else have these or seen these before?

Could they be made of resin? as opposed to glass.
I tapped them against my teeth and a pint glass, they are def glass. with a bluish hue.

Sorry I couldn't find more for you.

Thanks, friend! This confirms by assumption! I also failed to explain the diff in size compared to the more common type pip. These are in fact, a tad smaller in size. They appeared to have been painted green or green then silver on top . ?.

Dean,
Just saw your post, I had also posted a request for info on glass pips but got no reply.
As far as I can ascertain these pips were used but are not common and I think they were "experimental" like the bakelite Heer buckles and rubberised belts and bayonet frogs which also turn up on occasion.
