I've know people to collect these specifically. Like anything else, there are dozens of these as each city or regional area had a Reichsbahndirection. Desireable versions are from the occupied areas.

I have read here somewhere it was worn by staff. It was worn by ALL
assigned to the specific Reichsbahndirektion.
