Help identifying medal?
I am new to collecting and recently purchased a DAF tunic. I have been able to authenticate the arm band, DAF membership pin and May Day tinnie on it but have been unable to identify this medal.
The back of it is completely smooth/worn and it appears that the center was once filled with white or silver. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Help identifying medal?
Hi Greg, it is certainly nothing official in nature.
Cheers, Ade.

I agree with Ade. Possibly something from carnival.

Re: Help identifying medal?
I kind of suspected this after days of online searching. The really odd part for me is that the tunic, stick pin, arm band and tinnie are definitely authentic. Which leads me to question why anyone would place this rather beat up medal on it if it's a fake?

Re: Help identifying medal?
I suppose it was simply to dress-up the tunic. Have you posted
the other insignia, armband and badges for authenticity ?
This medallion looks like it has been put together with the
addition of modern or some unrelated ribbon.........

Because they likely thought it would look good. The qualiuty is not great. It is likely a trinket of some sort.
