I am trying to research this pin back badge. I have seen a blue version on Snyder's (not a good omen!) and have yet to find a black one. Not too keen on the pin catch. Any thoughts please? I will try to get a better scan of the back - it shows GAHR MUNCHEN with a serial nr of 439.Hindenburg D-LZ 129 crew pin?Hindenburg D-LZ 129 crew pin?Hindenburg D-LZ 129 crew pin?

In my opinion this is a fantasy piece...just did not exist. The construction is very very crude as well.

Thanks. I didn't think it was of typical TR quality, BUT considerably better than one of the blue enamel ones I saw, with truly appalling enamel work. A 4yr old could have done better!

Otto Gahr was the maker of the SS Honor Rings...they certainly did better workmanship than this pin.
