Just in - DAF Mützabzeichen

One prong missing unfortunately. I was uncertain of the RZM marking with no number, but according to my RZM book, and I'm quoting here, "A combination metal and embroidered cloth DAF cap badge. It is RZM marked but for some reason most of these badges do not use the M or manufacturer coding system. Lieferant is German for supplier, and so it is possible that even though the DAF was under RZM control, these pieces pre-date the March 1935 manufacturer numbering system and instead use numbers assigned by the DAF to their own suppliers." Nice badge, Troy. I wonder if there is a list available that would tell us who each maker was.
I have one with a different number.

How funny

I just bought a DAF cap badge and it arrived yesturday. But mine is been used on my cap.

I didint realy inspect it when I got it, besides it is a bit too salty to read

The photo of the badge in my RZM book has Lieferant number 622. If the DAF did have that many different suppliers, that must be a record?

Nice to see the flip site of the badge!
I still have a complete cap in fair condition(RZM tag included!) for sale;
daf cap Deutsche Arbeitsfront good condition - Militaria Collectibles buy - sell at War Relics
the ad says "closed" but I am pretty confused about the use of the classified threads, I don't know how to manage them....
I am willing to take any fair offer on that one.

Abzeichen looks good - very clean design and what a super condition. Congrats.
As mentoned above it also looks great on the cap.

What special is on thise item, is that a cloth( woven) insigna is (nicely!!)worked into a tin frame.
A combination that is seldom seen, even in other TR items.
